Incumbents Honours board at Little Malvern Priory.

This honours board listing incumbents since 1127 was commissioned by the Reverand Eric Knowles and presented
to little Malvern Priory to celebrate the Golden Wedding anniversary of his marriage to Valerie Knowles.
The name of the Reverand Knowles features on the board as he himself was an incumbent for thirty years.
The gothic arch shape is intended to reflect internal architectural features within the Priory
particularly the doorways.
The cross at the apex was shaped from 12mm thick oak and has been gilded with 23 carat gold leaf.

Types of Borders & Frames

This incumbents board has a simple visual frame rather than a physical frame.
The purpose of a frame is sometimes structural but often it is there simply to
act as a border that restrains the viewer's eye from wandering and focuses their attention.
In this case a simple gold borderline functions as a frame.
