Somerset Cricket Club Honours
These are silica acrylic honours boards. Silica acrylic also known as glass effect clear acrylic is produced by manufacturers such as Perspex.
It simulates the appearance of glass uncannily, most people have to touch or tap it to convince them it's not glass.
Panels like this can also be produced using toughened glass which has has many virtues and some drawbacks such as its weight
and transportation costs. The pros and cons of toughened glass versus acrylic are considered on this page toughened glass versus acrylic.

Somerset Cricket Club ordered four boards, the first displays their competition honours over the years.
A second panel lists the names of overseas test players that have played for Somerset such as Viv Richards,
the third board has the names of England test players and the fourth England ODI and T20 players.
What a lot of famous names so many of which are familiar, particularly if you're getting on a bit and a cricket fan.
